Handprints Turramurra

Opening August 2019

49 Boomerang Street, Turramurra

Handprints Turramurra has received an interim occupancy certificate and we have applied for service approval with the Department of Education!

Handprints Turramurra has three classrooms of twelve (Nursery), fifteen (Junior Preschool) and twenty children (Preschool) in size.

There are multiple outdoor areas with large trees, little hideaways, a pergola and a wrap around balcony. These spaces are designed to meet a variety of play needs with flexible use in mind for different types of weather.

There are large windows with plenty of natural light flowing into the centre and home like features including floating floor boards and warm coloured cabinetry.

Handprints Turramurra is another wonderful space for children, families and educators and reflects our Philosophy through the physical and social environments. We will continue to use high quality teaching strategies including utilising small groups so children can learn from each other as well as their teachers and an indoor/outdoor flexible program.

Meet Jasmine, Our Turramurra Director:

Becoming an early childhood educator is one of the best decisions I have ever made. I have been working in the early childhood profession for 10 years, including one year of experience overseas. I love watching children grow and learn, and especially enjoy watching their face as they discover something new. I love having a chat with children, even very young children, and listening to their thoughts, needs, ideas and anything they want to express.

I believe strong relationships are key for our children’s learning and supporting families. As a mum of a young child, I have experienced how important relationships are between children, educators, families and the community. As Handprints strongly supports the development of relationships, I know it will be the best place to start my journey as a Director. I will strive to make Handprints Turramurra a place where children can happily play and explore their sense of wonder and curiosity, a safe and secure place for children and their families, and a place where any family member can freely talk about their stories and experiences. My door will be always open for children, families and educators!
